BORN IN 1988. BASED IN TOKYO. EXPLORING COMPUTATIONAL ART AND DESIGN.
Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1988. Shoya conducts computational design using data, algorithm and machine learning in various fields. His recent works include a graphic art project 4D DRAWING in collaboration with Plotter Drawing in 2021 and a textile R&D project QUASICRYSTAL in collaboration with HOSOO in 2020. He has also participated in creating the work of various artists, such as Ms. Lauryn Hill and Hiroaki Umeda. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Prix Ars Electronica Honorary Mention and a Japan Media Arts Festival Jury Selection.
